Educational objectives

Core objectives The core objective of graduate education (master's/doctorate's programs) is to cultivate excellent researchers with competitiveness in this field by not only studying the central themes of philosophy in general more deeply and professionally, but also by focusing on the core problems of modern philosophy as much as possible and dealing in-depth with philosophical reflections on modern society.
The philosophy graduate program aims to nurture talents to become high-level experts in social fields directly or indirectly related to philosophy, such as universities, research institutions, and related professional organizations in the future.
Detailed objectives
  • 1. Strengthen research capabilities that should be possessed as a prospective philosopher
  • 2. Expand and strengthen research on philosophical topics related to modern society
  • 3. Strengthen interdisciplinary research
Research areas
1. Research on traditional and fundamental core topics of philosophy.
Metaphysics, ontology, epistemology, logic, analytic philosophy of language, Eastern philosophy, history of Western philosophy, etc.
2. Research on core issues of contemporary philosophy that are deeply related to important problems in modern society.
