Core objectives The Department of Mathematics aims to cultivate responsible professionals with creativity and expertise by developing logical thinking and specialized mathematical knowledge, while also fostering specialized research personnel who can present visions and reasonable solutions.

  • 1. Understand the core content of various mathematical fields and accumulate sufficient knowledge to specialize in specific areas of mathematics
  • 2. Recognize the advancement and changes in academia and societal demands, enhance adaptability in pure and applied mathematics, and continuously engage in research and academic activities using the latest mathematical theories in specialized fields
Research areas Pure mathematics such as algebra, analysis, topology, geometry, and applied mathematics like probability, statistics, differential equations, discrete mathematics, cryptography, and actuarial science
