Korean language | Linguistic research that contributes to establishing principles and laws with universality for all human languages in general is called general linguistics, or linguistics for short, and linguistic research that contributes to establishing principles and laws by targeting only one of those languages is called individual linguistics. Korean linguistics is a discipline that considers the Korean language as an individual language not only from the universal perspective of general linguistics but also in terms of its specificity as an individual language. Korean linguistics aims to deepen the understanding of our language through research on various scripts such as Hyangchal, Idu, and Gugyeol, which can be considered the foundation on which Hangul was created, as well as Hangeul, targeting both spoken and written language for research. |

Korean Literature | Korean literature can be largely divided into classical literature and modern literature, but this classification is not absolute and cultural traditions and continuity can be acquired through mutual exchange. The Korean language and literature graduate program aims for students to understand Korean literature based on various literary theories and cultural theories, and based on this, to present a new humanistic paradigm that can overcome the spiritual crisis of modern culture by tracking changes in literature in the age of popular visual culture and presenting desirable prospects. |
